 2008 Kentucky Wood Expo
The 26th annual Kentucky Wood Expo returned to the Hopkins County Fairgrounds in Madisonville, Kentucky on September 19 & 20. MH Equipment and JCB attended the two-day event that accentuated the forest products industry. The Expo attracted loggers, sawmill and pallet operators, manufactures of forest products and machinery, and consumers of wood products. The show is sponsored the by the Kentucky Forest Industries Association (KFIA), and featured lumberjacks, music, machinery in action and plenty of good food. pictures.

Ever see a backhoe do wheelies or go over 100 mph? The JCB GT, the world’s fastest backhoe loader dragster, with driver Neil Smith behind the wheel, was speeding down the track at the 2008 Holley National Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, KY.
MH Equipment teamed up with JCB to participate at the event, which was held over Father’s Day weekend. The event welcomed racers, rodders and fans with open arms. Almost 500 race cars blasted down the historic quarter-mile that opened in 1950, including Top Fuel racers from as far away as California, Pennsylvania and Oregon.
The JCB GT backhoe was a huge crowd favorite. The “backhoe on steroids” is powered by a 1,300-horsepower engine, is capable of speeds more than 100 mph and lights up the sky with its flame-shooting exhaust. National Hot Rod Reunion pictures. |
